THE MILLBROOK INDEPENDENT
THE ADAMS FAMILY ALPACAS
In the gentle folds of Stanfordville’s pastoral landscape, Alicia and Daniel Adams have conjured a world where luxury feels lived in. What began with a vision glimpsed in a German magazine and a single backyard alpaca blossomed into one of the most refined Suri alpaca herds outside Peru. Their 16-acre Alamito Farm became both canvas and workshop, a place where purpose and provenance meet.
The luminous fleece of their Suri alpacas, prized for its softness and organic purity, was first spun into tender keepsakes such as baby booties, knit hats, and gloves gifted to friends and neighbors. From those early stitches, Alicia’s creative spirit took shape. She partnered with Peruvian weavers and began composing pieces that whispered of elegance without excess. Today, Alicia Adams Alpaca creates heirloom-quality throws and capes that carry the hush of heritage. Each piece is tactile poetry, composed to endure.
