Our alpaca fiber is ethically sourced from our private herd of over 200 Suri alpacas, raised on our family farm in New York’s scenic Hudson Valley.
“Baby alpaca” refers to the finest grade of alpaca fiber—not the age of the animal. Lightweight yet insulating, this ultra-soft fiber is considered superior to cashmere and is cherished by designers and collectors worldwide.
Yes. Many of our pieces are handcrafted by master artisans in Peru using heritage techniques passed down through generations, resulting in heirloom-quality designs made with precision and care.

Care & Preservation
We recommend professional dry cleaning to maintain the beauty and integrity of alpaca fibers. For select items like throws and scarves, gentle handwashing in cold water with mild detergent may be an option. Always dry flat, never wring, and store folded in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
For long-term care, store alpaca products in breathable cotton bags with natural repellents like cedar or lavender. Avoid plastic storage, which can trap moisture.
Made to Order
Our Made to Order pieces are crafted exclusively for you once your order is placed. This process allows us to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and individuality in every item.
Please allow approximately 2 weeks for delivery, as each piece requires additional time for production. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation and tracking details.
Custom items are guaranteed to be free of defects and issues with workmanship. Should you experience a concern with the quality of your order, our customer service team will ensure it is resolved with care.
Because these products are created especially for you, all Made to Order and custom items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.
Orders & Shipping
Yes. We ship worldwide, and international customers are responsible for any duties, taxes, or customs fees. Please note that international exchanges are not available.
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. Delivery within the continental U.S. usually takes 3–7 business days, with expedited options available. International shipping times vary depending on location and customs clearance.
Yes. We provide complimentary shipping on orders over $150 within the continental U.S. For expedited shipping or delivery to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or APO/FPO addresses, please see our Shipping & Delivery page.

Returns & Refunds
We gladly accept returns of new, unused merchandise purchased from www.aliciaadamsalpaca.com within 30 days of purchase, when accompanied by a receipt. Items must be in original packaging. Please note: Made to Order, Final Sale, Weekly Steals, Clearance, altered, monogrammed, and custom pieces are not eligible for return.If you received your item as a gift, it may be returned or exchanged with a gift receipt. Products purchased through a third-party retailer must be returned directly to that seller.
If your order arrives defective or in error, we will replace it or provide a full refund at no cost to you. Please contact our customer service team promptly for assistance.
Once your return is approved, you will receive a confirmation email. Refunds are processed within 7 days and issued to your original form of payment or as an Alicia Adams Alpaca Gift Card. Please allow 1–2 billing cycles for the credit to appear.
Gifting
Yes. Gift packaging includes a personalized message and a gift receipt. For details, please see our Gift Services page.
Gifts purchased at www.aliciaadamsalpaca.com may be returned or exchanged within 30 days. Exchanges can be made for a new item or a gift certificate. Refunds are issued to the original form of payment. Please note: made-to-order products and items from third-party retailers cannot be returned.
