MODERN FARMER
ALICIA ADAMS AND ALAMILO FARM
In the rolling stillness of Stanfordville, New York, Alicia Adams has composed a life and a brand that balances quiet rigor with pastoral beauty. From the bones of a weatherworn 1790 farmhouse, she and her husband Daniel built Alamilo Farm with their own hands, carving space from wild land and breathing purpose into every corner.
Here, amidst the hush of the Hudson Valley, they raise a rare herd of Suri alpacas, known not only for their silken fleece but for the soulful gaze that reminds Alicia daily of why she stayed the course. Her eponymous label, Alicia Adams Alpaca, offers hand-finished alpaca scarves, throws, and baby booties, now sold at Barneys and other curated Manhattan destinations. These are not trend-driven pieces but heirlooms of substance and softness. With each collection, Alicia extends an invitation to dwell more intimately with comfort, craftsmanship, and the quiet luxury of things made slowly with intention.
